Configure Browser Extension

Admins can configure how the Salem browser extension behaves by modifying FabConf from the Salem Admin menu. You must use the Salem Chat app in Teams or Slack to configure Salem.

Specifically, Salem can be configured to automatically identify alerts from the current web page a user is on with the browser extension enabled. This behavior is disabled by default for all web pages.

Enable Automatic Alert Detection with Salem Browser Extension

1. A user with Salem Admin permission can make these changes from the Salem Admin menu, which is viewable from Salem Chat in MS Teams or Slack. Send Salem a message

   view -a

2. Select 'configs' and then 'FabConf'

3. Select the configuration you want to enable, and then select 'edit'

4. To enable, change the value of 'disabled' to 0

5. Save
