Overview of Deploying a new instance of Salem

Salem Deployment

Salem architecture is a co-location model, and is deployed in your Azure Cloud tenant from the Azure Marketplace.

Before beginning a deployment, see Plan to prepare for your Salem install.

Salem Deployment Process

  1. Create an Azure Entra ID Application Create App Registration

  2. Deploy the Salem Azure Application Part 2: Deploy Salem Application NOTE: if you are working with a Salem Account Manager, enquire if you should use the Standard Azure Application, or a private Salem Application.

  3. Install the Salem Chat Application: Install Salem Teams App or Install Salem Slack App

  4. Forward Alerts to Salem: Forward Alerts to Salem

  5. Configure Third Party Salem Actions: Configure Third Party Actions

  6. Configure the Salem Browser Extension: Installing Browser Extension
