Generate Summary
What is the Generate Summary button?
The Generate Summary feature on the Salem Alert Card is a critical tool designed to provide analysts with a concise, high-quality text summary of an alert's entire investigation lifecycle. It transforms raw alert data and complex investigative findings into easily digestible, actionable narratives.
Using Generate Summary
Navigate to an alert in enterprise chat or the Salem Browser Extension
Under Salem Investigation Context, select the blue Generate Summary button
A new section will load below the original alert card
What does the Summary include?
Summary information includes a categorization of the alert (i.e Threat Determination), the relevant context used to help Salem come to its conclusion, and an overview of the activities involved in the alert action.
